FAQ

Common questions

The first version of Letter To LDS is intentionally simple. These answers explain the intended shape of the platform.

Do I need to pay to submit?

Yes, the plan is to charge a small submission fee to reduce spam and bot-driven abuse.

Will every letter be published?

No. Submission is not a guarantee of publication. Letters still have to satisfy editorial and moderation requirements.

Can I publish anonymously?

Possibly. The platform intends to support attributed, pseudonymous, and some anonymous publication requests, subject to editorial review.

Is this anti-LDS?

No. The platform is for public letters, which may include criticism, testimony, appeals, or reflection. The point is readable public publishing and durable witness, not cheap provocation.

Why the "church door" framing?

The idea is inspired by Martin Luther’s 1517 protest letter and the 95 Theses: a public act of address directed at a religious institution. This is the digital equivalent of nailing a letter to the door—without damaging property, and with a far larger audience.

Will there be comments?

Probably not in the first release. A clean archive is more important than turning the site into a social feed.
